As I write this, it’s been absolutely freezing in Westminster this week. It’s been threatening to snow all week, but just about hasn’t. Winter has certainly arrived, and although its funny how Londoners seem to think that the world has stopped because the temperature has fallen below zero, it does bring home two very important points.

First, it is threatening to be one of the severest winters on record. This makes it very important to ensure that everybody has the ability to keep warm this winter. Vulnerable groups, particularly pensioners, should ensure that they have the ability to keep out the cold.
